Tuesday, Feb 26th
Firestone Walker Beer Dinner, a four-course dinner featuring:
-Firestone Walker Pivo Pils, 5.3%: Pils is a bright straw colored lager beer with playful carbonation topped with beautiful white foam lace. Delicate lightly toasted malt flavors underscore noble German hop character. Hallertau-grown Magnum hops deliver the lupilin foundation while generous amounts of Spalter Select hops bring floral aromatic and spicy herbal notes. As a twist on the traditional Pils, they dry hop with German Saphir for a touch of bergamot zest and lemon grass. A refreshing, light bodied and hop driven Pils.

-Firestone Walker Double Jack Imperial IPA, 9.5%: The brewery's first Imperial IPA, it features a big malty middle to cloak the high alcohol and mouth puckering hop bitterness. Huge tangerine, grapefruit and juicy fruit aroma blossom over the herbal blue basil and malt earthiness of this aggressive beer.

-Firestone Walker Wookey Jack - Black Rye IPA, 8.3%: Rich dark malts and spicy rye careen into bold citrus laden hops creating a new dimension in IPA flavor. This brew has been left unfiltered and unfined to retain all of its texture and character. At 80IBU's, Wookey Jack is gnarly on the outside yet complex and refined on the inside.

-Firestone Walker Sucuba Barleywine, 13.0%: Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry.

Wednesday, Feb 27th
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout Release featuring:
-Goose Island -Bourbon County Stout: 14.5%: A liquid as dark and dense as a black hole. The nose is an intense mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. This is the first time this beer has made it to the west coast.

DAVIS BEER LINEUP

Starting Friday Feb 22nd...

-Mad River Anniversary Rorschach Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, 7.45%: Dark brown. Nice chocolate and cereal aroma. Deep roasty chocolate taste with nice burnt coffee notes to the finish.

-Uinta Crooked Line – Labyrinth Double Stout, 13.2%: Enter the Labyrinth, a multi-dimensional black ale. Discover the complex intermingling of black licorice and toasted oak. Seek the subtle hints of bittersweet chocolate. Explore pairing Labyrinth with flavorful cheeses and rich desserts.

-Anchor Steam Zymaster Flying Cloud Stout, 7.4%: Zymaster® Series No. 3 is a dry, Irish-style export stout akin to those brewed in the 1800s for the long voyage to San Francisco. Black as night, this high-gravity, malty brew offers intense but well-balanced flavors and aroma, with hints of dark chocolate and roasted coffee.

Next Up...

-Drakes Barrel Aged Drakonic, 8.75%: Their monster Drakonic Imperial Stout was sent to mellow in a variety of their bourbon barrels back in 2009.  There it took in flavors of vanilla, oak, smoke, and hints of fruit into its smooth darkness.  This is a blend from several of those barrels with notes of chocolate, bourbon and subtle hints of dark, rich fruit.

-Allagash Black Belgian Stout, 7.5%: Allagash Black is a Belgian style stout. The silky mouth feel is a great balance to the roasted character, coffee and dark chocolate notes expressed throughout this beer.

-Troubadour Obscura Stout, 8.2%: Troubadour Obscura is a dark red-brown colored beer, with a rich, malty body combined with different touches of a stout but in a very nice balanced way: roast, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. A mild stout with a Belgian body.

-Lagunitas Imperial Stout, 9.9%: Made with Highly roasted malted barley, and plenty of it, to give the beer an uncommon richness and smoky, roasty depth. Just the way the 18th century Russian royalty liked it.

If you want to avoid the crazy crowds at night, prefer to be in bed at midnight, or have kids to keep company, join us at 4pm for a toast to Dublin. If you want the real deal, come party with us at night! For both toasts, we will be handing out champagne and whiskey to all who'd like to partake.

We will also be doing a special Prime Rib dinner on the 31st. More details to come!
